Honey in your Beauty Routine

Honey in your Beauty Routine

You may eat honey for your health, but it can be an essential ingredient in your beauty routine as well. Use honey to help your body on the outside, too.

Raw honey can be used to make a super skin scrub. Just use 2 parts of raw honey and 1 part baking soda to make this scrub. That is it! Any dry or rough facial skin you have will be taken care of. Rub the scrub on your face in little circles and then rinse thoroughly with cool water (not hot or warm!)

Honey is full of enzymes that will really clean the pores on your face. All you need is 2 tablespoons coconut oil and 1 tablespoon honey. Mix together well and apply to a clean face that is dry. After you apply all over your face you can rinse off- it does not need to stay on your face for very long at all.

Wonder what to do with those dry elbows and knees? Honey, olive oil and lemon are the solution. A tablespoon of both the olive oil and honey are mixed together with a few drops of lemon. Think of this mixture as a mask for any body part! Apply the mask to knees, elbows, or any dry patch of skin. Let this sit on your skin for around 20 minutes before rinsing.

Honey is so hydrating and can work wonders on your hands, too. If you have cuticles that are dry, use this honey concoction to help. Take 1 tsp coconut oil, 1 tsp honey and mix with a teaspoon of apple cider. Let your fingers soak in this mixture, or rub around the cuticle area. Let is sit for 10 minutes or so then you can gently rinse with lukewarm water (lightly pour the water over your fingers to rinse.)

What better way to end a stressful day than a nice soak in the bath. Your bath can also do your skin some good by adding some milk and honey. Get your hot bath going and add in 2 cups milk and ΒΌ cup honey. A few drops of lavender (or your favorite scent) can be added to your preference.
